The other problem with Meraki VPN is that all Meraki will VPN in mesh format, and that might not be aomwrhing you want to do (they can concentrate only if all Meraki are used for VPN) Because there is a router and the Meraki will be behind that router you would have to put the Meraki in the DMZ of the comcast router, and even then sometimes it will not auto reconnect (you have to ping your other point from the Meraki page). This is a huge issue because most likely at night there wont be VPN.ДЄ clear case is, you have an ASA or Fortinet in one location, and a Meraki Z3 in another, but that location has Comcast business as the ISP. If your Meraki router does not receive traffic on port 500 it wont reconnect when it disconnects due to no traffic. However you can only setup 1 site to site VPN if it is not to a Meraki location, and it will automatically mesh all your locations if you have a non-meraki VPN defined.ДЄ big gripe i have with Meraki VPN is that it has a partially supported always on VPN and they wont explain what that means. Meraki VPN has been the easiest to setup. Not even the MX100 was enough and they were suggesting a Meraki switch and ASA.or barracuda (and our rules weren't that complicated, just normal). Device showed everything fine but it was out of memory and cpu because you can't specify security rules according to ports or Interfaces (like Fortinet does) and it can only apply to the WAN port. Our mx80 could not handle 50 Mbps with a constant 18Mbps traffic. It is just not the magic bullet they make it be. I have a long, long list of issues, and also a list (not as long) of good things. Wanna know the worst gripe? Someone was browsing porn on the wifi and Meraki (tech support) could not tell me the device, just the AP because of how the network traffic works. My networks have 30 Z1, 1 MX60, 1 MX60W, MX80 and 3 MR12. Some they dont but they dont recognize it. Issues started showing the second year, and they arw limitations on how they work with the meraki cloud. The sales person also lied to me and the cdw rep in such a way that my rep asked for a new meraki contact from there on. They dont discount as much once you have it (for the renewal) because you dont have an option. It is not a bad product, but it is misguidenly marketed, and overpriced for what you get.Д©0% of the price is the subscription. 2 years later and a brand new generation of product later the post problems still havent been resolved. There is an old reddit post/rant from a msrp about Meraki.

I use Z1 and they are the only product that they have that has the right price. As someone looking to get rid of Meraki I would say too expensive.
